M.K.Gandhi’s Autobiography on Mobile

Editor& Presenter: P.R.Harikumar
As part of my attempt to change the position of Mobile Phone into a cultural tool, I have recently released a mobile edition of M.K.Gandhi’s world famous Autobiography-The Story of My Experiments with Truth. The 500 page book was converted here as a Jar file of 500KB. This can be read in any Java enabled phone. And it can be downloaded to your mobile from the Net directly or from the computer via bluetooth or Infrared.
This autobiography is a sincere effort from the side of M.K.Gandhi to depict the ways and means of his life in its natural situations. And the same story will become a source of inspiration to the youth of India through this mobile edition, I think.
Please send your comments to the presenter after reading the file on your mobile.

Tagore's Gitanjali on Mobile

Editor& Presenter: P.R.Harikumar
Since the last three years, I am in the making of more and more
Indian solutions for mobile phones. As part of this mission I have made mobile editions of Ramayana in Malayalam and Thirukkural in Tamil. Then I presented India's first Phone novel (‘Neelakkannukal’-my own novel) in Malayalam and India's first Phone magazine in English. In last December, I directed India's first Pocket film- 'A boy in his time'.
Now I am releasing a new thing for the lovers of English poetry-
a mobile edition of Rabindranath Tagore’s Gitanjali (English) for which he got Nobel Prize in 1913. By downloading this file into your mobile you can read ‘Gitanjali’ (English version) on your mobile screen. All the 103 songs are included in this edition.
This was made in the form of a Jar file with a size of 95KB.
So give special attention to save this file as a Jar file in your “My Documents” folder and transfer it to the mobile phone via Bluetooth or Infrared. Any Java enabled phone is eligible for downloading this file. If your handset is GPRS enabled then you can download the file directly to your mobile from this page.
I think, this is for the first time a Noble Prize winning literary work comes into mobile. By this way Rabindranath Tagore becomes the first Bengali writer who gets a chance to appear in Mobile Phone with his own creative work. As Tagore’s Gitanjali is prescribed as a textbook in many universities in India and abroad, through this edition our student community will get a chance to carry their text in their pocket instead of their bag. This renowned collection of songs, which was admired by W.B.Yeats in his introduction as the work of a supreme culture, now comes to your fingertip. I also consider this edition as a tribute to Bengali literature, which once influenced Kerala’s literary expressions and political thought to a large extent.
As my earlier attempts, I am sure, this edition of Gitanjali will also
strengthen my mission to change the mobile screen into a cultural space.
